IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION TO THE SOCIETY
INTRODUCTION
Education is important to the society in various ways, The best thing a child can inherit from their parents is education .Currently it’s almost impossible to secure a job without first getting educated .The society will only respect those who are financially able and can bring development to the society .Education teaches the ability to read and write, this is very important as luck of writing skills means missing on a lot of information. With the help of education most poor people would be able to improve their lives.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
Unfortunately social evils like drug abuse, rape robbery would they still exist if these people were educated and had secured jobs with various companies?
A lot of finances are being spent to solve these problems .youths who are on drugs are a threat to the society, their parents will have to use the little money they have to take them to the rehab. When young girls are raped this destroys their whole life some get unwanted pregnancies, can they still continue with their education in this state? This raises the problems in the society as the girl will do anything to support the child. The robbers on the street are there cause they don’t have other sources of income.
All these problems can be solved by government ensuring that every Kenyan is educated so that they can be able to get employment
LITERATURE REVIEW
In the older days education never existed and that’s why African countries were behind in terms of development .Diseases were widely spread ,there were no trained doctors only traditional herbalist .people could not read and write and the society was full of problems and that’s why the British easily colonized Kenyans because they were illiterate.
The modern day Kenyans became educated when the British who had colonized them introduced education .this brought many changes to the society, example they could now read and write, they stopped cultural practiced which were primitive like female circumcision and early marriages .their hygiene also improve hence reducing diseases
Education opened many doors and we are enjoying the fruits of education right now in our society, we have several professionals, doctors, teachers,, nurses etc. hence improving the society.
CONCLUSION
Education brings light in the darkness .it brings hope for a good life ,most uneducated youths ends up hopeless and therefore engage into drug abuse. Everyone has the right for education and the government should ensure the spread of education
