Importance of Education in the society

Education in a child’s life affects the overall quality of well being in society. Education, therefore, is a basic need to live in the modern world in the following ways.
First, education enables the transfer of knowledge from one generation to another. This helps in learning from previous mistakes and experiences. In addition, with education, the masses are able to understand technological advancements so that they can better their previous work. Thirdly, through education, people of different cultures, religions, work together, and stay in mutual harmony. In this way, there exists better social harmony between them.
On the other hand, job opportunities are made available through education. Depending on your field, level of education and specialization, you stand a chance of a well-paying job. In addition, through education, one can develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills to make better choices and decisions. Sound decisions such as if you should purchase a house or a car, the expenses to priotize, paying school loans etc. Moreover, one is able to participate in projects to improve their neighborhoods. Such programs include leading the less fortunate citizens, inspiring the teens and children to study and many other social programs.
Last but not least, education enables one to earn a higher income. However, people have to work hard, compete, dedicate and be efficient. To afford a job that is of a comfortable lifestyle, you need to possess the best qualifications a company requires. This will possibly happen if you are well – educated, proven with the right sets of skills to perform tasks of a given position.
In conclusion, with education, there is light in the darkness. There is hope for a good life in a society where education is a daily practice. Education is a human right. When youths are not educated, then that becomes a disaster to humanity.
