INTRODUCTION.
There has been a false impression from intellectuals and politicians that training cannot save disadvantaged youths, and that the trouble lies in socioeconomic coverage and reform. However, introduction of education has helped the society to escape poverty. Education is energy for the impoverished.












ABSTRACT
Many people have misconceptions that schools are not important within society. They don't consider schools as valuable. This study will assist them in recognizing that great importance the education has in society.
Information was gathered from educated individuals in society. They were interviewed using questionnaires. Investigations revealed that literacy, social harmony, communicating well, and improvement of technology are essential benefits of schooling. In conclusion, people must see education as of great importance in society.











PROBLEM STATEMENT
Education is more important to society. However, most people ignore it. The absence of ignorance in education will greatly help people. There would be no cases of poverty. Free education should be introduced to ensure every individual goes to school. Compaign about importance of education should be undertaken within society. This will help people have a positive attitude towards schooling.












LITERATURE REVIEW
Here, the focus is on the importance of basic education in the society. Literature reports some of the benefits of education realized in society. The review considers the following as importance of education in society:
Literacy
Literacy refers to the ability to read and write (David Olson, Nancy Torrance, and Angela, 1985). Most information is communicated by writing. Hence, it is key to many daily activities. Therefore literacy helps individuals to understand information that is being communicated .
Social harmony
Social harmony is crucial for unity in society (Narendra Modi, 2012). School helps to bring people from different cultures together . Education teaches unity and also practices it.
Communicating well.
An individual who has gone to school has good communicating skills. A person who has gone to school can communicate with anybody efficiently. In school, people are taught how to communicate according to the environment surrounding them.
Improvement of technology
Technology is possible due to constant exploration and research. Due to education, people nowadays can carry out those exploration and even improve it. Education can influence the diffusion of innovation(Ann Kovalchick and Kara Dawson, 2004).

METHODOLOGY
The study targeted both educated and non-educated individuals from society.
Observation, interview, and questionnaires were tools used for collecting data.
RECOMMENDATION
Campaigns on importance of education should be carried out.
Free education should be introduced.
CONCLUSION
From the findings made, it can be concluded that education has greater importance in society. People should embrace it.
