Is education really important?
Education is a lifelong process that starts with birth and ends at death. It is an enlightening experience of the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits. Education can happen in all kinds of situations besides schools and colleges- in our families, workplaces, communities and even leisure activities. It is life-wide as well as life deep; it’s about emotions, morality, cultural and spiritual development and not just the intellect. It is very important for the personal, social and economic development of the nation.
Education and learning are great ingredients to becoming all that one can be. How to open one is to learning will determine their path in life. It plays an important role in human life regarding to building personality, career, and mental growth. This also brings an amazing positive change in society or nation. Like a building without a foundation, it is so for a man without education. Life gives various survival challenges for humans but education guides humans to fight with failure and get success in life.
For a nation, education makes the development process fast. It develops a good political ideology. In underdeveloped and developing nations, where literacy rate is not as high, a number of people are still living below the poverty line and therefore education becomes very vital for the economic prosperity of a nation. Everyone deserves to be educated. Just as values, education grows. It is one thing to have skills and yet a different thing to have values and thence education without values makes a man useless.
Education is an essential and indispensable need to live in the modern world. It is the foundation of peace and prosperity. As Nelson Mandela says, ‘Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. To be a better human, an active participant in society and to gain respect from the world one should always learn new things. We require it everywhere from the time we wake up until the time we sleep.
